Teller’s is a quaint little shop that was once housed old-fashioned compounding apothecary. Though the interior has been updated with recessed light fixtures, central heat and air, the central and most memorable feature of the business is the floor-to-ceiling apothecary cabinet lining the entire back wall. Small nooks holding hundreds of tiny drawers and built-in, glass-fronted cabinets show antique bottles and large glass jars full of dry herbs, medicines, and home remedies. A hand-carved display case holds blended herbal teas, artisan soaps, and essential oils, all made locally.

A traditionally licensed pharmacist works here at all times, but the store stocks homeopathic remedies as well. There’s a rack of old-fashioned penny candy for the kids, and the welcoming scent of a warm, cake scented candle burning in the entryway. This is the kind of place where you only have to visit a few times before they learn your name, and from then on, they’ll use it. Serving Hollygrove since 1945!
