This little record shop is classic movie monster themed, packed with bins upon bins of hand-labeled vinyl in every genre, monster tees up one wall, folded neatly in various sizes, along with all kinds of band merch, both pop and indie.

A glass cabinet by the wood paneled register in the back contains stickers, embroidered patches, buttons, and enamel pins for purchase. There’s always a record playing here, music some flavor of classic or trendy, at least three hipsters shopping at all times, sometimes more. There are even a few vintage record players on offer for the truly dedicated collector. A cluster of milk crates are secured to the wall packed full of zines for purchase in person, or their website: Moonlight Distro.

The ceiling is paneled in draping fabric, the warm cream glow from above amped up by bulbs suspended from the ceiling. This is a cozy little haven for music lovers.

Vinyl Resting Place:
There is a rack with albums wrapped in brown paper under a blue neon sign that reads Vinyl Resting Place with classic albums sorted by genre. While not brand new, they’re guaranteed to play well, and have been hand picked by the staff, each labeled with a few words to describe it, such as:

• sizzling hook
• songs to cry by
