A foggy night view of the water and a port town.

Idle Hand Tattoo Studio

A vintage building refurbished to house a gothy little tattoo studio with huge windows and views of the water. Right next to a small town flower shop!

Walk-ins welcome.
Shop minimum $75.
18 for tattoos.
16 for piercing.
If you are pregnant, drunk, stoned, dirty, smelly, ignorant, or a pain in the ass, come back when you are not. Non-negotiable.

Large scale custom work: deposits required, by appointment.
Touch ups: walk in or by appointment.

Swear jar sign: $1 / swear; the first one’s free unless you’re an ass.

The studio provides laser removal, tattoo, piercing, and other services by appointment. A few days a week, a traveling manicurist books in clients upstairs. Rumor has it they’re also looking for a hair stylist and makeup artist.

The YOU GET WHAT YOU GET machine is a repurposed sticker dispenser painted black and covered in little paintings of bats, cats, poison bottles, skulls, and daggers. For $200, you can purchase a token to slot into the machine for either black and grey realism or American Traditional. It dispenses a random custom flash design. All tattoos inside the machine are around four inches at the longest dimension. This is a service for collectors who like a little randomness in their life, but still want to collect work from the shop. Feeling indecisive? Try YGWYG.

Obviously the contents lean dark and gothic.

Note: Inspiration for the idea: Jess Valentine

A black rolling cart is set with a vintage box of fine bagged teas, tier two stacked with unused gilded porcelain cups, tier three a bin for the used cups, which is kept clear unless a large crowd rolls in at once. It’s very tidy. Tea selections are varied, from rooibos to Japanese greens, gathered from around the world, but the black tea selection is certainly the most diverse. There are three kinds of chai. A decorative samovar dispenses hot water, and a variety of small lidded dishes dispense various kinds of sugar and additives. Milk, cream, oat milk, and other varieties of creamers are available from a discreet mini fridge beside the GET WHAT YOU GET machine. Tea & snacks are complimentary.
