Floodbank Gallery
Floodbank Gallery is a waterside gallery on Blackfish Creek, a deep-grey painted house with a half acre walking & sculpture garden in the back. Inside, the brick walls are painted a soft, clean white, hung with a rotating show of local artists. Occasionally, internationally curated shows take over the space. Collectible handmade gifts are available year round, from majolica pottery to funky coffee mugs with funny sayings, and even pinback buttons are displayed in small alcoves in bookshelves lining entry. There’s a collection of plein air paintings of local scenery and buildings, watercolors of the local lighthouse, and gestural mobiles suspended from the ceiling.
Scattered amongst fine arts items are crafty ones, featuring functional blown glass and stoneware for your home.
