The Blackwood lofts are situated in an old colonial, one of the oldest, largest original homes in Hollygrove. The family who owns it has been here for generations. The floors are pegged, wide boards, original to the second rebuilding of the home which has burned or partially burned twice. It features symmetrical windows across the front face, and three on the top featuring pedimented dormers jutting from the roof.

The home is sided in wood over the original brick, painted a deep matte black that’s a contemporary choice. At some point in the modern era, soundproofing was added to interior walls, and the windows were replaced with aesthetically true-to-style, energy efficient panes. As this is Main Street, it’s a busy area, right on top of the nightlife of Hollygrove.
