Just south of Provincetown on Cape Cod sits the little town of Hollygrove, MA. Blink, and you might miss it.

Most do on their way to P-town to the north or the rest of the Cape to the south. Nestled between Boston Harbor to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, it may give the impression of a sleepy little New England town, but it has a strange reputation all its own.

Hollygrove is known for being a travel destination for those who happen to love the spooky, strange, and supernatural. It is filled with odd little shops with quirky names, individuals who seem to cosplay monster movie creatures year round, and no end of stories of hauntings and odd happenings.

The residents are more than happy to maintain the illusion that it is purely a quirky little tourist trap. Pass on through. No need to linger. The longer you do, the harder it is to leave.

What is a MUSH?

A MUSH is a text-based role-playing game where one takes on the persona of a character and collaborates with other writers to create stories based on the theme and world upon which the game is created. Staff run plots which players can participate in to explore the game world and interact with the story as well as provide administration for the game itself.

How do I connect to the game?

Curiosities is accessible via a MU* client. There are several different clients available but we recommend BeipMU which is in active development and has a very helpful and supportive Discord community. For those who use Macs, we have heard good things about Atlantis.

Once you have set up your client of choice, you will want to use the address “game.curiosities.com” and the port number “4201” to connect.

There is also a web-based client from Cheese Software called WebMU which can be used to connect to the game.

Do I need to buy any reference books for this game?

No. Curiosities is based on an original theme and setting. You will not need any reference material other than the site and the game itself in order to play.
